Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Waxing.
Most clients enjoy smooth results for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles and individual hormones. Touch-up appointments every four to six weeks maintain a consistently clean look and prevent coarse regrowth.
Some discomfort is normal, especially for first-timers, but experienced estheticians minimize pain with quick technique, pre-wax soothing, and high-quality wax. Take pain relievers beforehand if needed, breathe deeply, and avoid caffeine to reduce sensitivity.
Ensure hair is about a quarter to half an inch long; exfoliate gently two days before and avoid retinoids or harsh treatments a week prior. Arrive clean, skip heavy lotions, and tell your technician about any skin sensitivities.
Mild redness, sensitivity, and small bumps are common right after waxing and usually fade within one to two days. Avoid hot baths, tight clothing, and sun exposure for 48 hours; use soothing aloe or recommended aftercare creams.
Optimal length is about a quarter to half an inch (roughly six to twelve millimeters). Too short won't grip the wax; too long can increase discomfort. If needed, we trim hair to the ideal length before starting.
Waxing is generally safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but sensitivity can increase due to hormonal changes. Tell us if you're pregnant; we'll adjust technique and comfort measures. Consult your doctor if you have any medical concerns before booking.
